Jill Firth has been involved with animals all her life - working
with horses for over 20 years - and is trained to BHS Stage IV
standard. Over the years, she has owned some 15 horses and
ponies and competed on the County show circuit. Through her
"eye" for conformation and movement she has "discovered" many
scruffy looking youngsters which, with her training and
preparation, have gone on to be successful in many equestrian
disciplines. Jill owned one of the top Large Show Hacks of the
late 1980's, as well as many successful Show Ponies. |

The word Chartered is protected and can only be used by
physiotherapists who have undertaken a three year course at
University, leading to a diploma in physiotherapy. Chartered
physiotherapists who wish to specialise in Animal Therapy must
then complete two years general practice within the human field
before achieving a post graduate qualification in animal
therapy. |

Stanley Grange Stud
From a non horsey background Stanley Grange Stud was founded
some 26 years ago by Jerome Harforth. Self taught on a
Shetland-cross pony at the age of three, he then progressed to
his first formal riding lessons at the age of nine.
Now famous for the production and breeding of some of the most
well known Show Ponies, Hunter Ponies, Hacks and Riding Horses,
he started off jumping and progressed rapidly on a succession of
ponies. Some proved to be unsuitable, but nonetheless he learned
from them all. |

I’ve really enjoyed being on the
road, but I am not getting any younger and I want to spend more
time at home with my family.
Although I am going to be taking in horses again I will be using
all that I have learnt on the road regarding the importance of
teaching the owner, every owner will learn all the ground work
which will be a huge factor in the on going training of your
horse not to mention the importance of cementing your
relationship.
